wuddup y'all. if you're here, it probably means that you've read through my blog some, and are now curious to know more about the wonderful jordi brand-mckay. i'm a 17 (but almost 18) year old vegetarian (yay for no meat!) and just graduated from high school a semester early. after rushing to finish school, my means of celebration was planning a trip to the beautiful country of new zealand - for three months. i flew from terrace, bc to vancouver, bc. after a three hour wait in the vancouver airport, i then flew the loooong flight to auckland, nz (the flight is 14+ hours whaaat). after yet another three hours wait, this time in the auckland airport, i took a quick two hour flight to queenstown, nz, where i met up with my aunt and also met my cousin lucas for the first time! that began my new zealand adventure.
leaving home for the first time is probably one of the hardest things i've ever had to do. leaving my mom, my dad, sister, brother, dog, and even my cat... i can't think of something more difficult than that. however, the only thing that i think about is the amazing adventure i'm going to have while i'm over here. it's going to be wonderful, spectacular, scary.... everything it should be.
while in new zealand, it's not all fun and games, i'm also working at my cousins' helicopter hanger, doing whatever the tell me to, basically. i work five days a week, from nine to five thirty, so that really doesn't leave a lot of time for epic journeys. i'll find some time within three months of being here to do something that's actually worth writing (and reading) about. i promise!
if you want to know any more, go ahead and head over to the "talk to me" page and send me a message!
xoxo
