Sunday started off cold, and just got colder! Wearing a sundress thinking that it would get better (spoiler: it didn't.) I froze my butt off. We drove into Queenstown for some good ol' retail therapy. One major difference between New Zealand and Canada: Prices. Everything is way more expensive here! However, that didn't stop me from buying a few things... And of course, I found a book store! That's my heaven, I'm pretty sure. One thing I absolutely love about books is how different countries have different covers! That's my excuse for why I bought second copies of two books I already own - pretty covers! That can be a souvenir, right?!
After wandering around Queenstown for a while, we met Jacquie and Kelly for lunch in beautiful Arrowtown. It's like it was taken from a fairytale. The picturesque town has old fashioned style phone booths (Which, of course, I couldn't resist posing in front of, Doctor Who reference, guys!) an adorable "lolly" shop (because apparently here, candies are called lollies...) and beautiful restaurants. We ate an Indian restaurant, delightful! Patsy and I then snuck into Patagonia's originally for coffee, but in the end getting magical tasting ice cream. Raspberry sorbet could sustain me, I'm pretty sure.
While it was cold, it was still a wonderful day of exploring and shopping!
